Tucson Interfaith HIV/AIDS Network (TIHAN)
Description
We are a local 501(c)3 grassroots organization that started in 1991 which provides non-medical support, referral and advocacy services to individuals living with HIV/AIDS, we also provide HIV/AIDS education to faith communities, and serve a monthly nutritious meal at a social event called Poz Cafe. Our Mission statement: "We of TIHAN offer our hearts and hands to provide compassionate and non-judgmental service to those affected by HIV/AIDS. Through education and support, we as individuals and faith communities work to build bridges, reduce stigma and sustain hope." We are backed by 37 member congregations and numerous individual supporters throughout Tucson and Arizona.
